Open Culture Lab: Open Air Series Of Musical Meet-Ups Celebrating Cultural Diversity
The Open Music Lab (OML) launches the Open Culture Lab, a new collaborative project with Maayan Nidam as a way to celebrate musical diversity in electronic music. The Open Culture Lab is a series of open air events promoting a wide variety of musical journeys and cultures, through the experiences of musicians, producers, activists and members of the music industry.
After a successful first event centered on African musical heritage and culture, the second Open Culture Lab gathering will focus on Iranian culture and music. Namito will be doing a creative production workshop focusing on his musical influences. We will also have a panel discussion with Dorsa Ahari, Hesam Ayat and Afsun Moshiry, art pieces and photographs from Dorsa Ahari, Ali Nazarian and Nikjoo Azadi, as well as Persian food and music from Peyman Farahani.
Due to the nature of the event we will give preference to people who identify as female*, non-binary, LGBTQI+, refugees or asylum seekers or people of colour.
