Food in the City – Balcony & Rooftop Gardening
For the month of May we will be exploring the long-standing tradition of urban gardening by talking with avid Balcony & Rooftop gardeners around Berlin. What grows well and what doesn’t? What amount of food is possible to grow on one average-sized balcony or rooftop? And ponder the question of how learning such skills fits into an overall vision for a more sustainable (urban) food system.
In light of the current global pandemic, these questions are very timely! Join us for an open exchange of useful tricks and tools, and get some inspiration from our guest speakers as they show us what they have been growing and how they got started!
