Discrimination on the Housing Market
How do I, as a black person, deal with the issue of using space? Solution approaches for the Black Community for self-organization.
Looking for an apartment, which has already been a challenge for many people living in Berlin, has become more complicated than ever with the outbreak of the corona pandemic. Black people have a particularly difficult time looking for accommodation and are often disadvantaged when it comes to the allocation of apartments. The reasons for this can be traced back to the 1970s, when housing companies in Berlin introduced immigration restrictions and quota regulations in order to limit the proportion of foreigners.
Together with you we would like to exchange personal experiences and discuss the following points:
How do I, as a black person, deal with the issue of using space?
Anti black racism in the real estate market
Solution approaches for the Black Community for self-organization in the field of land and housing
We look forward to your applications. Due to the current pandemic situation, the event will take place online.
