WHO: Queer Black and queer People of Color up to 27 years old

All young people are forced to go through an education system that focuses only on certain aspects of life, without educating them about important and overlapping issues such as racism, gender and sexuality. GLADT eV and the youth network Lambda Berlin-Brandenburg eV have therefore launched the "Cuties!" Project to bring together queer Black youth and queer youth of Color. A monthly recreational program and regular events such as empowerment workshops, talks and readings have been put together to create a safer space and a secure future for young people to create a world with more visibility of marginalized experiences.

ONLINE LEISURE GROUP

Every last Thursday of the month from 6pm, queer Black teenagers and queer teenagers of Color aged 14-23 meet now Online to share their experiences. During this time, they can talk about personal or socially relevant topics while cooking, playing games, making music or doing handicrafts together. The activities offered in the queer youth center (a space with few barriers and few adults) from the youth network Lambda BB eV normally offers a shelter for queer young people and the opportunity to network.

PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING

GLADT eV works with an approach based method with support at eye level. The organization itself is run by Black LSBT * I ​​* Q or LSBT * I ​​* Q of Color and those affected by other forms of discrimination. Through our psychosocial counseling services we support and empower people who are experiencing similar problems to help them help themselves. Counseling is offered on anti-discrimination and anti-violence, asylum and migration, trans * and inter *, coming out, family, religion, health, addiction, empowerment and self-organization issues. If required, non-German-speaking or multilingual doctors, therapists and lawyers can also be arranged.
