Free online screening and Talk of documentary film, Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights. Hosted and sponsored by the Austrian Film Museum.
Film Description: Through the personal stories of several former black female Civil Rights activists, Reflections Unheard: Black Women in Civil Rights unearths the lesser-known story of black women's political marginalization between the male-dominated Black Power movement, and the predominantly white and middle class Feminist movement during the 1960s and 70s, as well as the resulting mobilization of black and other women of color into a united Feminist movement.Reflections Unheard is a feature length documentary, and the first of its kind to focus exclusively on black women's contributions and experiences during the Civil Rights era.

Once registered, you will be emailed a link on Nov. 10th where you'll have 48 hours to watch the film on your own time.
We will also be hosting a Director's Talk / Q&A about the film on Nov. 12th at 3pmCET, where you can ask questions about the film, or if you already know the Director's work on @ n3vlynnn you can ask and / or learn about her creative practice and journey, or you can just chill and listen! Folks based in Vienna will also be able to attend an additional in-person screening at the Museum the same evening of Nov. 12th.
