Online | Black, Brown and Vocal: Destigmatisation and (redefining) self-care, love and social resilience (English)
Acceptance that mental health is negatively impacted in the face of discrimination, assaults and alienation is the first step in a journey of self-improvement. We come together to discuss our struggles and strategies on how to nurture social resilience. Destigmatising our struggles is a deep process of self-reflection and self-love that we can passionately build and place at the centre of our community building. Creating space for self-compassion produces an atmosphere for loving ourselves in the fullness of our weaknesses and strengths.

+++ For members of the Black community. We would like to point out that this event is aimed exclusively at people who position themselves as Black. That means people who are part of the African diaspora, those who experience anti- Black- racism and are categorized as non-white/ Black by the white population. In order to give racially discriminated Black people an opportunity to articulate their thoughts within a „safe space“, without experiencing exclusion and avoiding the paternalism of a majority of non- Black participants, we create certain spaces exclusively.
